Candle SAFETY TIPS

Candles can create a comforting atmosphere, but it’s essential to prioritise safety. Follow these guidelines:

• Never leave a burning candle unattended, and extinguish it before leaving the room.
• Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not move a lit candle. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects.
• Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their quality.
• Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame.  Avoid blowing directly, as it can cause hot wax to splatter.
• Keep candles away from drafts, vents, and fans.
• Stop burning when only 1 cm of wax remains to prevent overheating and cracking.
• Allow wax spills to cool and harden before removing them to avoid surface damage.

Candle Burning Instructions

For safe and effective burning:

• Trim the wick to 6 mm before lighting.
• Limit burn time to 3-4 hours.
• Keep the wick centered to prevent uneven burning.
• Remove tags and ribbons before lighting and let the wax melt close to the edge during the first burn.
• Our decorative candles are primarily for home decoration and may drip when burned. Always use a flat and heat-resistant candle tray underneath to catch melting wax if you choose to burn them.
• Place a heat-resistant tray under candles to catch any dripping wax.
