ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
A.E. Waite was the designer and co-creator of the famous Rider-Waite Tarot deck. An American-born British poet and mystic, he had a strong interest in esoteric subjects like divination, magic, and Freemasonry, which inspired him to write several books, including “The Key to the Tarot” and “The Book of Ceremonial Magic”.
Pamela Colman Smith, born in England to American parents, was a theatrical designer and illustrator. Under Waite’s guidance, she created seventy-eight allegorical paintings for the tarot deck, published by William Rider and Son, reflecting her artistic depth and mysticism.
Virginijus Poshkus has retouched the Original Rider-Waite Tarot Deck and illustrated various other card collections.
