Kawakawa leaves are sustainability harvested here in Nelson, dried and the medicinal constituents extracted into organic olive oil, a process that takes four weeks. The kawakawa extract is blended with New Zealand grown lavender hydrosol, aloe vera liquid, glycerine and xanthan gum to thicken.

Lavender hydrosol makes up 80% of this gel and is known to be cooling for eczema and regenerative for damaged skin as it’s anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties are good for reducing inflammation and redness.

German chamomile essential oil is also a key component of this gel blend. German chamomile is popular for use on red irritated skin including itchy bites, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, acne, sunburn and wounds, due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, healing and antiseptic properties.
